My broken foot

Who will be stupid enough to broke his foot during his EVS project ? Me^^

How ? Handball =) It was during my training, I was on counter-attack, I had the ball, I ran really fast to goalm did my 3 steps, jumped and goaled and when I touched the floor, I did a wrong mouvment and heard “crack”. Aie, it hurts ^^

The day after i wnet to the hospital and figured out that I had 2 micro-fractures. Results : plaster for 3 weeks + crutches ^^

But even if it sucked, there were still some things which were great, like :

- I discovered how worked the polish hospital and the polish nurses ^^

- I discovered how to make the pappers to be pay back from my insurance

- When I was in the tramms/bus, everyone gave me their seats coz I was “invalidą”

- I couldn’t go to the gym anymore but with my crutches I trained a lot my arms and my right leg so I did sport anyway

 

Now my foot is ok, I still can feel something but I can run and the doctor said that it’s normal, so I’m not worried. It’s great to be back in the “walking life” ^^

 

Training in Karzimierz Dolny

The last week of March I had my 2nd training in Karzimierz Dolny, a little village in the country side of Poland, 2h by train from Warsaw.

This city is well-known in all Poland coz it’s really cute, lot of beautiful paysages, has a great story, has a castle and so on. This city is also known to be the city of painters, a lot of well-known artists went to KD. Anyway, what about the training ?

AWESOME !! I met a lof of people from every country in Europe, lot of new friends from Spain, Ukraine, Macedonia, Rumania, Belgium, Moldavia, Portugal, Germany… really great !! We did a lot of things, we visited KD, we spoke a lot about our projects, our embitions, our ideas, where we were living, how we felt. The trainings were also really interesting, we focused more about the future, youth pass and our after-EVS. It was hard to talk about this coz when you are in your EVS, you don’t want to leave  and talking about what you’ll do after is weird. But we successed it coz we were also speaking beetween each others and it helps to speak to someone else who feel the same as u do. You feel less alone ^^

 

Anyway, we learnt a lot of things, I mean I learnt a lof of stuffs who can be useful for my project. Like a lot of games I could practise with the children even with their disabilites, great ideas coz I tried them and they really work so it was really great for me and for children also. The only sucks which sucks during this week was the weather coz it was raining all the week and sometimes snowing . But you know what, we are EVS volunteers so even with a weather like this we had fun and we also managed to do a fire camp outside

 

It was cold yeah !! But we had fun

Sorry I wasn’t writing that much these last months coz I was busy and I didn’t thought that much about writing but now I’ll ^^

So let’s tell you what happened. I went to my 2nd training in Karzimierz Dolny, I broke my foot, I went to Laski and I went to the Schuman Parade, so a lot of stuff that I’ll write in the next posts..

The Bal in Kindergarten :)

Hello you

It has been a long time since I did post something on my blog. Was busy and totally forgot to post something ^^ sorry. But now it’s fix

This post is about the Bal we had in the kindergarten. The Bal is once a year. It’s a kind of party with all the kids and the parents, there are some dances, games, speech and whatever.

Yeah I danced ^^ you’ll see on pictures. The main theme of the Bal this year was the euro of football which take place in Poland this time, at Rondo Waszingtona in Warsawa (near where I live). So all the kids and parents had to disguise themself about football. It was really fun because everyone had funny disguises and make-up.

As I said, it starts with a dance from the teachers and Gwen and I (great dance ! sorry I don’t have the video :p), after it was some kind of breakfast with the cakes the parents brought and the teachers too. After this break, there was music and we were dancing with the kids or talking with the parents and whatever. And then there were some games with the parents and somes prices for the best make-up and costumes.  And before the end, father christmas (me ^^) came to give presents to the kids and have a picture with all the kids.

Now I’ll let you see the pictures of the bal (I had 200 pictures so I had to pick up somes ^^).
